What are you eating?

This morning I decided to organize my scripture verses into a photo album. Previously I had them stuffed into a pencil bag which was exploding at the seams. I normally have about 20 behind my sink that I rotate in and out. However, they started shriveling up and fading due to getting splashed with water all day long.
I am trying to figure out a better solution. I love having God's Word before my eyes during the day. It is nourishment for this weary dish washer!
Upon organizing I came across this verse and I thought that I would share it with you this morning. "Your words were found and I ATE them, and Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart, because I am called by Your name, O Lord of Hosts" Jeremiah 15:16.
I am finishing up a study with our Women's Ministry by Kelly Minter called "No other Gods." It has been amazing. I love her writing style and her transparency with the reader. Look it up! Anywho, I find that when I am doing a book bible study I LONG for straight-up scripture reading.  Written Bible studies are awesome, but I crave the meat of the Word! This morning while reading through my index cards, I stopped to tell the Lord how beautiful His Word is to me. How it nourishes and refreshes!
Then, I came across another verse that I love. It says, "Wisdom brightens a man's face and changes it's hard appearance" Ecc. 8:1. How true of the Word of God. Sometimes I come to my quiet time "ignorant like a beast before Him..." Ps. 73:22. But thanks be to God that He changes my hard appearance and brightens my face!!

In other news, I got a new iron. YEEHAW! If you know me well,  you will know that I abhor doing laundry. At any given time there are a hundred loads sitting around my house. A few weeks ago my  puny, cheap iron that I have had since we were married caught fire. 8 years of service to this housewife.  I decided that it was time to get a big girl iron, so I bought a SHARK. Not a real shark -like in the sea, a shark steam iron! Let me tell you: IT. IS. AMAZING. It actually gets out the wrinkles! What a concept. I think I might start to enjoy ironing! Shhh, don't tell Tyler.

Well, three weeks of not having an iron means that now I have three hundred loads of laundry waiting for me. I better get to it! Happy Monday!
