Iphone Dump

Since I don't have a ton of time to spend on this post,  I thought that  I'd dump all my Iphone pics to show you what we have been up to.
1. Me, Erica, and Dave went to see the iconic Civil Wars. I have no words.... Yes, I do. Beautiful, fluid, harmonies, angelic, chemistry, musical, funny, PERFECTION. We had so much fun. Unfortunately Tyler had a VBS rehearsal. The first picture is us being sad that Ty wasn't there.

 2. I recovered my kitchen chairs. For the past 6 months we had been using some TINY Ikea chairs. My parents complained of them being uncomfortable, so I decided to recover my old ones. These will do  until I get my Mom's old set.

3. I got new glasses. It was between these:

 and these:

I chose the latter after taking into consideration two things: One, Tyler said something akin to, "Are you kidding me?" upon seeing my old glasses for the first time. Two, Dave once told me (in all seriousness) "I'd like some big, ugly glasses like yours." (see exhibit A). These two things led me to the conclusion that maybe I shouldn't try to make a huge fashion statement with eyewear.

4. Me and my friends Karon and Kate went to the Browsaroun and I found a TREASURE! A vintage peacock rug/tapestry. It has BEAUTIFUL colors. I didn't buy it;( It had a steep price tag. I'm hoping Karon goes back to get it for her darling baby room;) Then again, the Browsaroun has layaway....

5. Kate took me and the kids to the Children's Museum last week! It was very exciting. Apparently Houston's Children's Museum is ranked #1 in the country! I can't wait to go back with Tyler. There is an entire room dedicated to experiments, lego building, flying airplanes, etc. It is really amazing.

#6. As I mentioned, we have VBS this week. I can't express to you how funny Tyler is in the show. I asked Black Bart Underwood if there was a Carrie in his future and he told me vehemently, "No." Here are a couple of funny pics from the week.

 The outlaw:

7. I painted Kate a little end table for her birthday. Kate and David are in the military and will be moving next summer;( I told her that I painted her some furniture so that she will have to take me all around the world with her.

 in process:

I had some left over yellow paint, so I painted a little design on the top.

And here she is in Kate's extra bedroom.

And since 7 is the number of perfection, I'm out.
