Deck the Halls!

You didn't believe me, did you? I didn't really either;) However, I am a gal of my word, so here is a bit of Christmas decking!
*warning: all this nonsense might crash your computer. It's a bit heavy on the picture side.

In our play room:

I found this great striped ribbon at Walmart for next to nothing. If you ever have problems with Michaels or Hobby Lobby check out Walmart. Their prices are great. This ribbon was my inspiration for the trees in the play room. The pine cone bedazzlers are from the Dollar Tree....secretly my favorite place... you know, other than Goodwill.

Every time I pass my piano ( pass being the operative word) I see the hymn open to a Christmas Carol, and it reminds me of the great scene in Little Women when they all sing around the piano at Christmas. Such a great movie.... and then I am reminded of how people used to say that I looked like Clair Danes. You know, when she was ugly in My So-Called Life. Sad times. Who said a good dose of blonde highlights ever hurt anyone??

Ya'll know I photo edited almost all of the pics.

In the kitchen:
Photo Editing fail: that wall is gray in real life....hmmm

If this isn't Christmas cheer, what is!?

A close up of the yummies:

In the Living room:
If she isn't chasing Carmel, this is where you can find Sugar these days:

Christmas books!

A snow village...without the snow. Seemed appropriate.

A little garland never hurt anyone!

My new wreath that I made from Dollar Tree odds and ends.
It turned out cute!

So as many of you know we have been in the middle of the epic Really Really Big Christmas Show. Every year I say it, but there is truly nothing like it. This year Tyler was the principle role. He played himself as a sad, stressed out musician. Here are some shots from the show:

Our friend, Kara, on the train. She is truly amazing. She wrote, acted, produced, edited, sang in the show. It was quite the undertaking. Bless her heart!!

And here are a couple of videos of Ty in the show to give you a taste. I actually got a YouTube account just to upload these..... I am one of THOSE people now.

I'd like to say I'll be back before Christmas, but I just don't know if I can commit ... I mean, I like you and all, but really.
We will be celebrating the birth of our Redeemer tonight by attending the Behold the Lamb Of God show with Andrew Peterson and gang. Nothing better on earth to get your heart ready for the big day!!!

"So bring Him incense gold and myrrh,
Come peasant, King to own Him,
The King of Kings salvation brings,
Let loving hearts enthrone Him."

Your house it always beautiful but you are amazing at creating and decorating on a shoe string, dime, nothing, little or nothing....literally!! I love watching you create!!
